We have training courses for every professional driving licence category in the UK, along with HIAB, ADR, Driver CPC and forklift training.

CAT C

This is the licence you need to drive a rigid truck
(also known as a Class 2 vehicle)

What does the course involve?
  • Drivers’ Medical.
  • Approximately 80 hours of study for theory tests (Modules 1 and 2)
  • Module 1: Theory Test (HP and MC).
  • Module 2: Case Study Theory Test.
  • 16-20 hours of practical training.
  • Module 3: DSA Practical examination.
  • Initial CPC practical training.
  • Module 4: practical demonstration test.
CAT C + E

This is the licence you need to drive an articulated truck
(also known as a Class 1 vehicle)

What does the course involve?
  • 16-20 hours of practical training.
  • DSA practical test.
CAT C1

This is the licence you need to drive a smaller LGV
(often called a Luton Van)

What does the course involve?
  • Drivers’ Medical.
  • Approximately 80 hours of study for theory tests (Modules 1 and 2)
  • Module 1: Theory Test (HP and MC).
  • Module 2: Case Study Theory Test.
  • 12-20 hours of practical training.
  • Module 3: DSA Practical examination.
  • Initial CPC practical training.
  • Module 4: practical demonstration test.
CAT C1 + E

This is the licence you need to tow a trailer behind a smaller truck

What does the course involve?
  • 12-20 hours of practical training.
  • DSA practical examination.
  • Can only be taken with C1 entitlement on licence.
TRAILER TOWING

This is the licence you need to tow a heavy trailer with a car or van

What does the course involve?
  • 12 hours of practical training.
  • DSA practical examination.
CAT D

This is the licence you need to drive a bus or a coach

What does the course involve?
  • Drivers’ Medical.
  • Approximately 80 hours of study for theory tests (Modules 1 and 2)
  • Module 1: Theory Test (HP and MC).
  • Module 2: Case Study Theory Test.
  • 16-20 hours of practical training.
  • Module 3: DSA Practical examination.
  • Initial CPC practical training.
  • Module 4: practical demonstration test.
CAT D1

This is the licence you need to drive a small 9-seater minibus

What does the course involve?
  • Drivers’ Medical.
  • Approximately 80 hours of study for theory tests (Modules 1 and 2)
  • Module 1: Theory Test (HP and MC).
  • Module 2: Case Study Theory Test.
  • 12-20 hours of practical training.
  • Module 3: DSA Practical examination.
  • Initial CPC practical training.
  • Module 4: practical demonstration test.
INITIAL CPC

All new HGV or PCV drivers must take and pass their Initial CPC in order to utilise their licence for hire or reward

What does the course involve?
  • Approximately 20 hours of study for theory test (Module 2).
  • Module 2 (Case Studies) test – a computer based 50 question multiple choice test.
  • 4 hours of Initial CPC practical training.
  • Module 4 (Practical Demonstration) test – a practical safety test without any driving.
